Minister for State Ivor Callely T.D. Officially Opens Ice@IFSC

On Wednesday, November 13th, Minister Ivor Callely T.D. Cut the ribbon
and declared the new Ice Rink in Dublin's IFSC open. In front of a large
crowd who couldn't wait to hit the ice, Minister Callely was joined
by Hugh O'Morain of Catalyst Events who is responsible for bringing
the rink to Dublin for the next two months and by Mike Hannon, Executive
Director of Beaumont Hospital Foundation.
Hugh, a recent graduate from UCD and a former patient in Beaumont
Hospital got the idea while skiing in Switzerland. The rink boasts
falling snow, a nightly laser show and plenty of festive spirit.
Ice@IFSC is open until January 15th 2003 before it will head off
on a nation wide tour. All those wishing to share in this unique
and wonderful experience, can purchase tickets on www.ticketlord.ie.
A contribution will be made to Beaumont Hospital Foundation from all tickets
purchased.
