With comfortable bedrooms, a lounge rest area, dining facilities, a fully fitted kitchen and utility room and counselling room, the unit offers a haven of peace and rest for families as they come to terms with child illness. It will also eliminate the stress of finding and funding accommodation in the area (particularly for those families who travel to Beaumont from outside the Dublin area).

Parent Stay Unit

It is important that children are not separated from their families as they cope with the trauma of illness and it is accepted that children will recover more quickly when their parents remain with them. The unit will keep the family together and make hospital life a little happier for young patients.

This unit was provided with the generous support of members of the public, hospital staff, business, parents and - of course children. To all of them we offer our heartfelt thanks. The facility will stand as a fitting testament to their goodwill.
