Patient care at Beaumont Hospital the big winner in annual BHF draws

The role of our summer and winter lotteries and draws cannot be underestimated. Tireless work by the team here at the Foundation combined with hard working ticket sellers always means each draw raises lots of funds. These funds are distributed through our Grant Scheme to projects focusing on improving patient care at Beaumont Hospital.

Summer draw raises €250,000 for patient care

Our team were busy at work through the summer months launching our major cash draw. Although held in September, the vast majority of tickets were bought throughout the summer months.

The first prize of €10,000 was won by Mrs. Kelly from Raheny, Dublin 5. The seller’s prize was won by Mrs. Collier of Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. Congratulations to our winners.

The generosity of our supporters and the work of our ticket sellers keep us going. In a very tough times for charities all over Ireland and indeed worldwide, they really go the extra mile for us and we are eternally grateful. You helped raised nearly a quarter of a million to directly fund projects dedicated to patient care. We genuinely mean it when we say – we couldn’t have done it without you. Well done to all...

Christmas Raffle

Our second draw of the year took place the week before Christmas but all the hard work was done a few months in advance as usual. Raising over €180,000 for patient care projects throughout Beaumont Hospital, our ticket sellers outdid themselves once again.
 
1st prize of €2,500 went to Ms Southern of Co. Wicklow. Ms Doyle of Co. Meath won the second prize of €1000 and Ms Pith, Co Wexford won €500 third prize. The seller’s prize was won by Mr. Whelan, Co. Wexford. Congratulations to each of you and thank you for your support.

On behalf of Beaumont Hospital Foundation we’d like to thank everyone who bought a ticket for our Christmas draw. All funds go directly to patient care projects at Beaumont Hospital. The projects you read about in the pages of this newsletter are funded by draws like these and all the Challenges that take place every year.

Previous Draw Winners

Our Car Draw was held on 24th September 2008, and was won by Joe Keeley, Swords.

Our Holiday Draw was held on 29th August 2008.

1st Prize of €1,000 went to Sarah Murray of Drogheda, Co. Louth.
2nd prize of €500 was won by Margaret Lowndes of Wellingtonbridge, Co. Wexford.

The Cash Draw was held on 18th December, 2008.

1st Prize of €2,500 went to Claire Savage of Dundalk, Co. Louth.
2nd Prize €1,000 was won by John Gilma of Co. Longford and
3rd Prize of €500 went to Lauren Devlin from Co. Monaghan.
