Holiday Villa, Langkawi Kedah, Malaysia

We started our first walk from our hotel, the Holiday Villa and did the
Pelangi walk. It was interesting to see the local school and children out playing. It gave us an overview of Langkawi i.e. where the local bars and restaurants were.

On the second walk we went by coach to Petronas Quay for limbering up before we
commenced. As this was St Patricks day we dressed in our green, white and gold. We saw monkeys
swinging out of the trees beside us as we were walked along. When we finished the walk we went to a beautiful Oriental Village where we had booked rooms in the
Berjaya Hotel so we could have a shower. We had a beautiful lunch at the marina and after it most of us went up in the Cable car. Our third walk was Fisherman's and Kampong Walk.

Our last walk started beside the Airport and along the Jalan Kedawang
road passing the village and fishing jetty. Everyone completed all the
walks - some with blistered feet but delighted to complete their challenge.
