Our Budapest Challenge was very interesting and we enjoyed every
minute. By day we walked to all the sights and in the evenings
we used the trams, trollies and metro. The food was beautiful,
the beer and wine weren't far behind.
We stayed in the Hotel Mecure on the Buda side and started our
walks each day from there. We had four 10 kilometres walks over
the seven days where we visited the beautiful capital city of
Hungary which is split into the Buda and Pest sides with the River
Danube separating them.
We had varying ages on the trip and everyone met someone who
walked at their pace, with Daddy Nollag (John McCoy) normally
leading the pack. Everyone completed the challenge and some even
shopped till they dropped.
We would like to thank everyone that took part in our Blue Danube
Walking Challenge and we look forward to meeting you again in
another challenge for Beaumont Hospital Foundation.
