Beaumont
Hospital Foundation is a registered charity. It aims to raise financial
support from the community for Patient care at Beaumont Hospital.
Through fundraising events, general donations, legacies, prize draws Beaumont Hospital Foundation strives to raise much needed funds for patient care at Beaumont Hospital.
Grants - A Direct Impact on Patient Care
To make sure the right funds get to the right projects, BHF have a grant system in place. In 2009 alone, approximately €300,000 was donated to nearly 50 patient care projects. These funds have been divided into three separate categories Major, Bursary and General grants.
Major Grants - €325,000 Budget
A sample of some of the recipients are:
• Imaging Machine for Endovascular Unit
• Resuscitation Machine for A & E Department
• Halo Machine for less invasive treatment of Cancer in the Endoscopy
Unit
• Bladder Scanner for St. Finbarr’s Ward
Bursary - €75,000 Budget
General Grants - €100,000 Budget
With over 30 projects, we’ve worked with departments all across Beamont
Hospital to identify these smaller, but no-less-important projects.
These projects all make a solid contribution to caring for patients
throughout the hospital.
In 2009 nearly a half of a million Euro was granted to nearly forty different direct Patient Care projects within the Hospital. Read more
