Tax Effective Giving
Beaumont Hospital Foundation is an eligible charity under the 2001 Finance Act. Donations of €250 or more are elligible for Tax Relief. Below are two examples for illustration purposes of how the system works.
Personal Donations
If a person donates €250 or more to Beaumont Hospital Foundation (BHF) in one tax year, we can reclaim the tax paid on this donation. Depending on the person's tax bracket, this can result in BHF, receiving an extra €180 if the person is on the higher tax bracket or €62 if the person is on the lower tax bracket. This does not affect the donors tax payments in anyway.
If you are making a donation of €250 or more and wish to avail of the tax incentives for doing so then you will need to complete this tax form and return it to us in addition to making the donation.
Corporate or Self-Employed Donations
When a company or self-employed person makes a donation to Beaumont Hospital Foundation, the company or person can claim tax relief at the marginal rate on their annual income tax return.
